Sorry to interrupt this thread, but I have a related question...
Where I live (Boston) I use one-dollar coins every day of the week. I get them at the fare vending machines for the MBTA when I load my transit card, then I spend the coins in change around town. Here's my question:
How many of you ever get a dollar coin back in change - anywhere? anybody?
I keep spending them, but no store has ever offered on in change. They just go straight back to the banks... Same thing with my $2 bills. Sorry for the interruption.
