Last night I did a half box (that's all the bank had) and was skunked again.

Tonight I did a full box and got "back in the silver":

1943P (2)
1943S
1944P in very nice condition
a foreign nickel sized coin that I will give to my son

This box put us over another milestone in nickel collecting with 351 silver nickels from roll hunting.

Could be Mr C. Or maybe a roll of 1943 Ds?

Loco - that's awesome! Amazing that the 1950D hasn't happened in all of those nickels but it did take David a long time too. But then 2 50Ds inside a few weeks. Good luck!

my last 3 boxes were solid 2015. doh!

Been a while since I've been able to get boxes since it's tough at school. Maybe I will have to find a bank that will let me without fees.

Jefferson nickels are my favorite coin to collect, well nickels in general. I recently purchased two folders full from '38-'61. Total cost was 12 bucks for the both. I figured that was a steal based of the 50D and the War Nickels.

Tonight's box was good again:

1935p and 1936p buffalos
a foreign coin for my son

Box #11 sorted this last week. Going in, I thought this would be the first "no new finds" box and the beginning of the long march of such boxes. But - I was wrong! The streak stays alive! Near the end I got a 1942 P War Nickel. Very bad condition - covered with corrosion/verdigris. I needed to use a loupe to make out the date. Easily the worst condition coin in the book now. So now I'm down looking for 14 coins. And still thinking "next box will break the streak", like I've thought for the past few boxes...

And got a 2009-P and 2009-D, so I was able to replace the only 2 nickels that I did not find in circulation - early on before I was doing boxes I got anxious to complete the late mintage Whitman folder I was using at the time, and bought those 2 online. Now I swapped those out of the album and replaced with the finds from this box, making the entire contents of the Jefferson album circulation finds.

Also found 2 Buffaloes! - bringing me up to 4 total. These 2 were my first with legible dates - a 1936 and 1937, both P, both average condition.
