Sadly this was the only box this branch had, and what's worse is I'm not an account holder at this bank so they (graciously) only occasionally allow me to purchase coin.
With a move to the Philly area upon us in just a few weeks I've avoided unnecessary credit pulls so no new accounts til the end of the month. However there are still a few Wells branches that get nickel boxes regularly enough and I have some friendly tellers all over Charleston who have been very receptive to the cause.

My thoughts also John77. This is a smaller bank I use and I only tap them every once and a while. But, I might have to make an exception as I got 60 wheaties in 20 rolls total (mostly in 3 customer wrapped rolls). Also, phenomenal rate, indicating dump. Wow... makes you wonder if perhaps some dimes, quarters, halves, or dollar coins also got dumped there? Quote:

Thanks, Errers and Varietys! It was a nice group for having so few pre-60s... planning on really ramping up the hunting now that I have a full-time job and can dedicate the early part of my Saturdays to dumping and buying.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

Three impaired proofs from recent CRH. Two 1962s (one much better preserved than the other) and a 1963. Lighting wasn't great and the first 1962 appears the most lustrous but the 1963 is also impressive. All of to see strikes are deep with square rims, crisp devices. The second 1962 (middle) appears to be more impaired than the others - possible in circulation longer. Apologies for lighting - juggling 4 kids at breakfast time is a skill I'm still learning.

This week's box started hot, then fizzled and heated up again at the end. 21 pre-1960 including a 1937 P Buffalo, 1943 P War Nickel with respectable details and a 1955 P. The 2009 streak continues with a 2009 P and 2 more 2009 D after our haul of 6 2009s last week (1 2009 S impaired proof and 5 2009 D). Still stymied by the 44 D and 50 D!

The first proof nickel is obvious, but how do you confirm the third one?

I'll do my best given I don't have a good macro camera or scope, but under the loupe the proofs are clear as day. Square rims, sharp transition from rims to fields, crisp devices and - for those pesky 60s era nickels - full steps. The mirrored fields don't always show well as these coins circulate. 63 PF on left; 62 PF on right.

Just did my semi-weekly $20. The pre-sort yielded a 1939, a nicely toned 2006 in excellent condition, 1970-S, 2x 1970-D, 6x 1971-D, and a 1936 Buffalo with yellow-green adhesive all over the obverse. Only 1 nickel from the '40s and a few from the 1950s. No War Nickels this time, breaking my streak. I did, however, get a bunch of gleaming new 2023-P nickels that I will inspect, and then tuck into a BU roll for future generations to enjoy. This batch had quite a few damaged or hideously dirty nickels. But the amusing star of the bunch (so far!), presenting the lesser known—and generally lesser—brother of the 1975-D High Mintmark:
