at my LCS today, the owner who I know well gave me a christmas present. it was a coin that I've had my eye on for a while, so I was extremely thankful and surprised when he gave it to me. here it is...
its a 1948 d fs 801 doubled die reverse franklin
its unc and has some really cool toning. I wish every coin store owner was as nice as mine.

The doubling is ever so slight. but who cares, he received it as a Christmas gift from a dealer. WOW !

The P and L in PLURIBUS show the doubling well. Nice coin.

its hard to see, but the p,l, and b un pluribus have a split at the bottom left corner, and the dots on either side of the E are elongated
