Can I get a count of those that have some 81 Micro D's. I would like the number of those with and without the huge D/C through the bottom of the NAD of Canada where there is a big chip out of the D. I have already asked some on another site and have about 20 accounted for for population.

A small die crack developed from the denticle to the D in Canada and then started back through the A & N. At the end, there was a huge die chip below the D with "squarish" angles and large. I would like those that 1) have no D/C, 2) those that just have the D/C to the D, 3) those that have the D/C up to the D and back to the N & 4) those that are toward the end when the huge chip chip starts. Thanks ... research and I'll tell the numbers when done.

Not sure if photos help the cause here or not, but here is a photo of mine which I have posted before. No die crack version I assume.

Gidgit .. no, your first one has a very thin D/C from the denticle to the D and the 2nd one even more so. I have had more trhan 10 of these, but only 5-6 now. I'm trying to see when the crack started .. I think very early.

The "micro D" is a supposed small D under the larger D in Dei. Look at Gidjit and smallcentsguy's coins at the D in Dei.... amd at p304 in the 2011 Charlton.

Smallcentguy's pic shows a d/c in the "D" that goes straight up from the rim and through his "D" in Canada and on to the beads.

Clearer pics of d/c would be great..to see if anything is going on to the left letters also..

Showing here..

This next Micro "D" cent has the d/c going up to the "D" in Canada and then turning left and on through the "A" and over through the "N" and still on to the "A" to the left also..

2nd pic of mine also shows a very weak d/c going up into the interior of the "D" in Canada.

Showing here...

Okiecoiner...So what do we make of these different ones here..?

I've kept my eyes peeled for that one for a bit now, still haven't found it. It might be getting harder to find.

All that I have is an old QX5, which is good enough for me and I'm taking the shots through the holder and mylar with uncleaned coins. One pic is straight up and the other sideways so that you can see that there is no D/C above the D toward the beads.

I really don't need any more pics as I have seen many of these coins. It's just that I never noticed the D/C and chip in Canada before and was just curious what the counts would be.

My opinion is that "if" that last Micro "D" pic of okiecoiner's cent was cleaned .."à la okiecoiner method" of fine detailing on the inside of that vertical bar on that "D",..we would see a fine d/c in there.

I base that opinion on that fact that the d/c does head off to the left and into the other letters..just like the others here..

It still almost disappears on my higher grade shiny example as it heads up through the interior of the "D".

The light has to be just right and come from the correct angle to capture that d/c..for us to see it. The light in your pic would have to come from the other side to see the d/c..

I think that it's there...on that dirty example..
