FYI - Digging through the 50% off bin @ LCS, part 1while going through the 50% off bin This week I came a cross some more interesting items. Don't think it is still in the stated condition with the surface patina;) one of the Sterling postage stamp series

Interesting objects! One doesn't see many Masonic tokens, especially ones that have been graded.

Yes as with coinage people do try to maximize what they can get from selling items whether coin's tokens or what ever. This one is getting older and not looking as good as it once did! This isn't the first one I have seen but it is the first one that has come into my hands in the bargain bin. This one has a local history tie in and famous person pre TV/internet days. The Father was a very famous radio priest and if not controversial too. Back in most's grandparents day. I was pleased to find it and add it to the local to me city collection. one further away from home but still a nice pick up.

I rarely get anything out of the LCS junk bin because I don't have the patience to sort through all the garbage, Presidential dollar proofs, and just plain "mystery disks". So I salute you guys and the effort you put into it.

I understand what you are saying. My LCS bin has a lot of silver coin cut outs from somebody that makes the spoon type rings. The coin shop sells CWT's,Counter stamps and high end tokens. Most of which I 'm not interested in. I am lucky that he does buy a lot of the token collections with me in mind.

I lived in Wawa for a spell. It is an Ojibwe term for the Big Goose, derived from the sound of the honking goose. So nice they named it twice. Snow up to your neck on the shores of the great Gitchigumi.

Here are 3 that you never know what you find. I was told that these 3 following were from a country in Africa. Since I have even less interest in collecting foreign coins, then I do US coins. I never bothered to pick one up and look at one. At the end of the time sorting in the bin I picked one up and looked at one and read the inscription. It said Mardi Gras so I fished the other two out and added them to the pile. Nice heavy bronze alloy, from the 60's The help asked if I was branching out into world coins?
