I picked this up recently and I know it's a NS-20A but there are four varieties and I was hoping this is the rarer variety with the drapery touching the water.... there's a big difference in the price. I'd like to hear all comments I just thought it was a nice token so I bought it. Can anyone confirm which variety it is and maybe some opinions on the grade? Cheers, Bill

Truly nice token but, It's not NS-20A It's NS-19B The 20's are one penny tokens

I appreciate all the kind words and help with the IDing of the token. I can't believe I made such an error in the my identification in the first place it's NS-19B in the book I referenced also. I'd be very pleased with an AU grade as I had it pegged as an EF45 because of the high point wear but there're very few contact marks. It's hard to get the true colour, in hand it's more of a mid-chocolate brown colour these pictures are lightened to show the detail and wear better. This one also has the engrailed edge which I had not mentioned earlier. Would I be correct this time around if I mark this one NS-19B2? Again thanks to all. Cheers, Bill

Possibly, NS 19B2 if the edge is engrailed; NS 19B1 if the edge is plain. The edge can not be positively ascertained form the photos provided.

That is a beauty, I have been dealing with a lot of tokens the past couple of years and yours is at least an AU55, the wear on the high points could just be the wear of whatever it was stored in, ie/ an envelope rubbing. Here is a link that might give you a bit more information: http://www.coinsandcanada.com/token...-1813&id=174Get the token into a 2x2 at least or send it off to be graded. Excellent buy.
