Been collecting for many years - now retired and having more fun with my collection. Mostly U.S. but an occasional Canadian slips in.
Recently picked up an 1802 Large Cent that gets the imagination going.
Minted when Thomas Jefferson was President - has been obviously passed through many hands and somewhere along the way it became a "collectors item"
Here I am out West in Pierce County WA - and Lewis & Clark may have had a few of these cents in their pockets to buy the supplies before setting out for their grand adventure! I've got one of the tokens that they took with them to impress the new subjects along the way.
Having a great time catching up on all the great knowledge here.
