I will clarify that it must be 1) A US coin. 2) A true Pop 0 meaning none are known to exist. That does not mean Pop 0 in TPG population reports but a TRUE Pop 0. That means the 1849 $20 would not count as they are currently known to exist. 3) It must be a coin that might or might not of existed at one time. For example we know a 1964-D Peace dollar did exist at one time but a 1869-cc Dollar is a coin that people SPECULATE exist(ed) but not really confirmed to ever of actually been struck.

Are you asking a question, and if so, what is it?

So, imagine a cool fantasy coin that does not exist but should? I would say an 1815 large cent.

I think it is supposed to be a pretty fun thread. There are actually quite a few coins that very well might exist. 1873-s Seated dollar for example. It is a real possibility there were 1869-cc coins struck and possibly in the cornerstone of the mint building.

Or are you talking about coins that are rumored to exist but are not known?

The 1805 Dollar. There was one that had been declared genuine, but it was unmasked as a fake. The famous fake 1805 dollar sold as a fake for $9200 in 2002.

Yeah pretty much. We don't want to speculate on pure fantasy coins but something with at least a RUMORED existence. Breen supposed was SUPER sure that MULTIPLE 1964 Franklin halves existed in private hands.

I guess there's always the 1873-S dollar and the 1841-O 5 dollar.
