I got this raw IHC a couple months ago. Curious to know what the group's thoughts are on grade. Also, Should I get this graded at PCGS?

I'd say at best 63 or 64RB, possibly even a 58 (hard to tell from these pics). Either way, probably not worth the cost of submission, imo.

Tough call with those photos. I can't tell if the luster is broken or not. In any case, even assuming MS, it wouldn't go above 63 RB at best and just wouldn't be one I'd TPG.

Yeah, I agree, beautiful coin but, probably not going to hit the big MS number to pay for grading.

The pictures could be hiding something. This could be MS-64/65 RD.

Given the look of the photo it's hard to tell if this coin has original surfaces or not. The reverse looks like a red Uncirculated coin, but I get suspicious when sellers post pictures of coins that are sideways or upside down. It's a way to confuse the viewer so that you might miss something.
The obverse looks strange, but it might be the lighting of the photo. Of course devious sellers play with the lighting to hide stuff.
Red copper is tough. I don't like it because of the risk that it can turn on you, and even when I do get enticed to get involved with it, I have to see it in person. Usually I am an R&B or brown copper collector.

I think there are hairlines which could knock a higher MS coin to 62/61. Spots also get removed which can cause no grades. Indian cents are some of the hardest coins to find original.

TypeCoin - correct, it could be a 65RD or RB - we need better pics. My initial opinion was probably too hasty.

I think it'd come back MS64RB -- if you want to slab it, and don't mind spending the money, then do so. Otherwise, as suggested, you will be spending a major part of the coin's value to get it slabbed.

Surely a nice coin, may come back as altered color, probably not, doubt that it will MS65,though, and that's where the $$ are....ANACS is a less expensive option, for a common date IHC

MS-64 RD due to the hairlines. Thinking full red, but better pictured would help to know 100%

I agree with billjones comment exactly. Couldn't say it any better.

These photos make for a difficult call . not sure if it's wear or weak strike on some feather tips . Reverse shield not shouting out an MS Coin . but everything else looks nice. AU-63

I would have to see it in hand but in my opinion this wouldn't grade any higher than MS-63 RB due to a weak strike. No need to get it graded, just enjoy it as is.
