Good evening! This past week I received a milestone coin dated 1482 such that I now I have an '82 dated coin for every century back to the 14th century :) The running tally of my hoard counts is such. And below is a favorite coin from each year. 1382 1 1482 1 1582 5 1682 5 1782 14 1882 27 (US = 20, World = 7) 1982 17 (15 errors, 2x MS69 Proofs) TOTAL 70 1382: 1382 Michele Morosini. Billon tornesello. Michele Morosini (1308 - 16 October 1382) was the Doge of Venice from 10 June to his death, due to the plague, in October the same year. This was minted in Venice for use in the colonies of Coron and Modon, Negroponte and Crete. 1482: 1/2 Schwertgroschen Sachsen-Markgrafschaft Meißen (State: Saxony, Principality: Margraviate of Meissen) 1482 is the oldest I know for an '82 coin having a date on it. 1582: Riga Poland 3 Groschen St. Bathory, Fantastic luster considering its from the 16th century! 1682: There's just something fun about this Scottish Dollar that makes me happy, even though it's only a G4 grade. Looks better in person. 1782: Mexico 8 Reales with chop marks. I lived in China for school and work for a couple years, so this coin with the Chinese history is a double winner. 1782 - German States: East Friesland 1/2 Stober. Very cool coin! 1882: Siam (Thailand) 1/2P. I lived in Thailand for two years, this is one of my most favored coins. The eye appeal in person is awesome. 1982: Nepal 25-PAISA Double Strike. My last big humanitarian project was in a small mountain village in Nepal, so this was a fun addition. Edited by Collects82 03/27/2016 10:34 pm

Very nice! I assume 1982 is your birth Year? Always more fun/exciting when you can connect your collection to your past experiences. Good luck fiinding a 1282 though

I could find you a nice 1182, but not a 1282. Great set though. Very interesting goal.

Chinese "Chun Xi Yuan Bao" with the numeral 9 (in Chinese) on the reverse, signifying the ninth year of this reign title, which corresponds to 1182 AD. I sold this coin to Bob Reis for $3. You can buy it from him for $20, or you can make an offer. Unfortunately, the closest I can get you to 1282 is 1272.

That's an awesome accomplishment, congratulations Collects82! I like the 1682 Scottish Dollar as well, the obverse portrait is really neat!

Broken-Coin, here are many of my 1982 errors. Thus far they are all from the US or Nepal. :) I also have a 1882 Indian cent clipped planchet and my 1782 French Ecu is an overstrike over something else, several letters of something else are seen below the date and letters by it.

Thanks to the tip from TypeCoin971793 and help from Bob Reis, I have the above 1182 Chinese (and other 1182 types) and a 782 Tabaristan 1/2 Dirham secured. In talking with Bob, it sounds like the Middle East could quite possibly cover my needs for centuries back to the Romans :) I just missed out on a 1282 by a few days off his list. My goal remains to keep going further and further back into history; let's see how far back I can string this. My favorite centuries continue to be 16th/17th/18th, I think the designs are fantastic, especially Colonial Spain and German States, and I always need more of those. Should I need a break from this topic, I've been slowly working on date sets of Bust Half Dimes and Dimes and Draped Hair Half Cents and can give that some attention.
