Woohoo! It came in today. So I took my time and chose one that looked good in pics to me. It has a grade from NGC....But wording on back of NGC sticker makes me think this isn't a gauranteed grade.

1883-CC-GSA-You-Vs-NGC

1883-CC-GSA-You-Vs-NGC

1883-CC-GSA-You-Vs-NGC

What do you think it makes?

Thanks all.

Solid 64, might make 65 on Friday afternoon at 4:45 when the graders were about to hit the local bars.

i think it has a little too much luster missing on the cheek as well as contact marks so I'm at MS64

I would put it at 63 but NGC most likely is at 64.
Rest in Peace

I like it as a strong 63 and imagine NGC said MS64.

Thank you all.

Slider and BH you guys got it....almost. NGC calls this a MS63.

I do believe it is under graded though.

Got a great deal from a buy it now or best offer. $213 including shipping. Best offer was accepted to my surprise.

My grade would be MS-63 for this piece. The 1883-CC is the most common CC Morgan dollar. I think that there is quite a bit of disturbance on the cheek.

I believe when left in the GSA holder it's just an opinion grade from the TPG's with no guarantee of grade or authenticity. You have to let em crack it out and put it in their holder for that.
