So I'm willing to learn but don't want to go get another college degree in something completely unrelated to my current studies. Perhaps just like buying a few text books or so on how to invest in previous metals knowing when to sell and buy. Learning what influences prices to go up one way or another. I know no one can predict market 100% accurate all the time or even come close but I want to learn more on the subject matter. Any good textbooks or perhaps maybe classes at universities? Not to like pursue a major but learn about the topic. Is there like a degree on PM investing or investing?

Any good text books on PM investing? I'm not like looking into like different types or were to buy but stuff I mentioned above.

I mean I'm sure there's some people who have like a double PhD in different investing fields who can recommend some books that come on these forums or something? Like maybe take a class at a community college since it's cheaper but I can learn on my own with a good book that I can walk through glass with? Like I' e blnever taken formal classes on PM investing or got degree in it and was hoping someone can share good books.

Go to this thread...

What happens to gold and silver next? Look out below? (sorry I don't know how to link the thread)

Read every single page.... and track the timeline as for what YUP has said... There's your education and it's FREE!

The major concept discussed will not only work for PM's but for all stocks and equities.

The only other advice I would give is that.. I would put much more than 10% of your net worth into PM's .. Treat PM"s like a hedge against inflation for investment purposes rather than an investment vehicle itself. But that's just my advice... I think there's a better place to put 90% of your assests

Buying PM for profit? Buy what others want to buy not what you personally find attractive should be a good starting point. This in my personal opinion and I could be wrong.

Yes for profit. I don't have a degree in investing or anything and am sure some people with like double phds in investing or economics have written some great books on precious metal investing and I was hoping someone could share some titles of great books that I could learn from?

Instead of the internet that anyone can share the knowledge on. I was hopping for some widely used books in university on pm investing.

How do you buy experience if not in the market itself.

PM's by themselves are somewhat limited. Yup thread covers this to the max as another post here mentions.

But limited mintings and a winning theme or image. The hidden value in this area coupled with the PM price has a good look at times. Also another post here talks about this area.

Then there is the quality that any given mint produces or does not produce.Bring around the question of grading.

Amazon: Steven K. Beckner "The Hard Money Book"... outdated info (early 1980s) but it's a great read and gives some perspective as to what's going on now. It's great if stock-babble bores you. It covers futures, gems, metals, currency exchange, but ETFs are a new concept and aren't even covered, the Euro is not covered. This book is more of a curiosity and probably doesn't translate well to today, but if your interest is actually there like you say then you will enjoy it.

kitco charts and link up to events that occurred during those times.

Sometimes a search engine will lead you to the right direction .
