Wow, interesting video! I didn't realize how many were being put in storage. Although they said the coins hardly circulate, from what I've seen they circulate fairly widely in this area, at least. However, if they stopped producing them now, we would still have enough minted over the past nine years to last quite a while.
I've also noticed that a large majority of presidentials I get in change are 2007 issues. Has anyone else seen that?

The Native American dollar coins will continue to be struck for collectors, there are no small dollars being struck for circulation anyhow, so there is no BUSINESS reason to need another series.

Yeah! After VPs they can do a series with all of the losing candidates from each election. Since there will be a lot from the smaller parties, they can cover one election per year.

I actually prefer state vegetables... after all, let's try and see - only 14 states have one, so that's just 3 years...

Oh and 4 are onions, 2 are tomatoes and 2 are corn. So maybe the US Mint can do scratch & sniff to distinguish the Walla Walla sweet onion, Spanish sweet onion, Sweet onion and the Vidalia sweet onion.

Yet another reason why I don't collect Presidential dollars. I only have a few of interest.
They come with the proof sets, so I may as well keep them.
