So I just finished going through a couple rolls of original 1984 Lincoln cents (I had them stashed away from when I was a kid). Of course no DDO's at all.

My question - a few of these are MS65+, the rest in the 61-64 range, with a lot of spotting. Any reason to keep? I've kept the best for my own collection.

I would keep the higher grades with "no" spots and put them in 2x2's. I see a lot of them CRHing and 99% have at least one spot on them.

If you can make one full roll of 65+ out of the few rolls. tube them and mark them gem bu 84's . The ones that are spotted or have no eye appeal I would spend .

Good chance to start a BU roll set! I'd work on a 65 and up roll with those.

Just think if we'd all done this every single year since we were like 9 years old....

Yeah eaglefoot, I think about that often! When I found the 1984 rolls, I thought to myself, "wouldn't it be cool if the 1984's were ALL the doubled ears?" I wanted to believe it so badly - but nope. lol!

I did find one strange ear that was different from all the rest, I plan to post pics of that later.

This roll is a much better date. I'd keep everything that isn't spotted and ugly.

From the picture it looks like an exceptionally good roll.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.
