Congrats on picking up another Morgan. I also would like to see some pictures, I am interested in seeing what other countries grading slabs are like. And ... what collectable coins are common in south Africa ? I am thinking the big 5 shilling coins.

I will load a pic as soon as I get it, Tuesday the tracking number says. The most common coins to collect here is ZAR 1800 Paul kruger coins just before the Anglo bier wars and then the 1947-51 crowns they are very common here but like now you can find a gem AKA Morgan dollar. I will post a pic of my next morgan also sanga graded hold on It looks like the coin was cleaned

The holder looks cheap and I doubt strongly it is A MS62 but what do you expect from South Africa. Your thoughts on the grade? They only have this image on

The photo of the 21 is showing signs of circulation rub and wear. Would need the obverse photo to give an exact grade. Based on reverse photo the coin at best is AU and most likely XF.

I was also leaning towards AU you can't have South Africa grade A American coin lol. Stupid people cheap holder. But I'm in it for the coin not the slab.

Interesting slab ... Thanks for posting.
I would not give a guess on a grade without seeing a good picture of both obverse and reverse.

I compared the image of the 1885 to the 1921 and the pictures suggest the 85 looks better than the 21. But I will see when it gets delivered and will post a picture It's awesome to have a small piece of American history with me And I know I don't own it, I'm just the keeper till moves to a new owner. Thank you America for such a GREAT coin!!!

Teslacoil, Is there a reason you do not buy a Morgan on ebay or US dealer in a NGC or PCGS slab that ships international?

Slider, I have tried all the main dealers like APMEX but they all do not send to South Africa And ebay well there is so much red tape like cos toms ect bit scared to buy from ebay. Maybe I should just try it with a small inexpensive item and see

Good idea. If you buy something in a PCGS or NGC holder, you will not have to worry about the true condition, at least.
