Notice how on small date the inner loop of the 9 is much finer and pointing above the bottom of the 7. And on large date (like these) the inner loop is still full thickness and it points to the bottom of the 7

I thought of a new way to tell if it is large or small date (besides all the others I've mentioned)

Floating roofs can occur on any 1957-2008 cent. If they are over polished to remove the die clashing, those areas will eventually affected as the lines for the lower part of the bust radiate through those areas as well as the dates.

Except the years mentioned (typo) with coop. 1959 - 2008 potentially could show the die wear creating a raised or floating roof.

But 1969 and 1970 seem to be the two years most noted for it. Thanks, Doug.
