Is there anything special about this serial number? I received it in change today and thought it looked kind of cool.

It's pretty close to being special. If it was a pallindrome where the numbers read the same in both directions I believe that's what currency folks call a "radar" and in good condition - like this appears to be - it would sell at a premium. It's also close to a "repeater" where the string has fragment that repeat: 123123123. But again, you're close.. Still cool, I'd keep it.

Cool serial number, but as Biedercoins mentions, nothing special.

Oh, man... 1 digit off of a radar! Keep searching!
Rest in Peace

Oh well...I will probably hang on to it as a conversation piece. Atleast I can say I will never be broke if I hold on to it!

I have seen this note listed as Trinary. (think Binary but 3 digits used instead of 2) Not that uncommon to find in the wild but it is still interesting to look at. If you search Trinary on ebay you will see them selling for a few dollars. I'd hang on to it anyways. Looks cool.

I do agree that it is almost a repeater, and almost a radar, but not quite. It's the ones that are just off that make finding a truely fancy note really worth while.
