Wife works at a local bank and picked this out of a drawer today - It's a 2000 P New Hampshire Quarter. She noted the thickness of the rim, obvious lack of obverse and smooth edge.

I'm thinking it's a Dryer Coin. Is there any other explanation for the way it looks? Never seen one before.

Yep, looks like a Dryer Coin.
Interesting to look at in hand, I have seen a few and am always amused.

Looks like someone hammer and rolled this one. The faces are scratched like a Dryer Coin would be. PSD

Looks like a reverse image was added. I still feel it is not a Dryer Coin, but damaged in a different manner. Spendable if you can get someone to take it.

I don't think it's a Dryer Coin. The edges are usually rounded, while this one appears to have a flat edge. I'm not sure what caused it, though.
