I found this in my grandmothers attic an asked her about she says has no idea where it come from trying to find out if it's real  *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

I would lean toward fake. The lettering and stars on the obverse look like someone in grade school did them.

I figured it was a fake only reason I had doubts were because she told me that anything in that attack belonged to her parents so I'm guessing they made this fake along time ago and I thought in the early 1800 coins did not come out perfect

Recently manufactured Chinese counterfeit. I suspect that the story about the coin being found in Grandma's attic is questionable, too.

It looks like polished aluminum. How much does it weigh? I'm guessing under 20 grams. It should weigh 27 grams.

It weighs 35 grams I'm guessing that to much I was told if it doesn't stick to a magnet it silver does not even make alittle attempt to pull no reaction

35 grams is too much if the coin was made of silver at the correct weight, it still is going to be a counterfeit. The 1804 dollar is one of most famous US coin rarities. If you had an geniune example, it would most likely be worth over a million dollars.
