Has anyone who has found any coins (by CRH) that are worth money tipped the bank teller who sold you the coins?

And/or is there proper etiquette for this?

I heard of doughnuts and what have you but never money.
If someone goes above and beyond it is nice to make them feel appreciated.
I know a guy big into Canadian Tire "money". He used to give the Canadian Tire owner in Fredericton (My province's capital) a bottle of liqueur every year as a thank you for letting him paw through the bundles of script before they were put out.

You may want to ask this question in the C.R.H. sub forum.

Once or twice a year. Do not over do it. No one tips me for me job. Ok, yes they do but I have to decline cash.

Right, never cash. If it's a branch bank, a box of doughnuts every so often is a great idea. At a larger bank, a moderate gift card at Christmas is okay if you and the teller have a well-established relationship.

I give doughnuts a few times a year. I do buy scrap gold from a few of
the tellers. So we sort of do favors for each other.

A box of doughnuts or chocolates for the whole teller line every so often is a good idea. Be cautious, because they likely have limitations as to what they can accept. And they may not be able to accept anything personally, which is why I say the whole teller line.

I used to go to Aldi's and get their Moser Roth chocolate bars (inexpensive, but quality, imported chocolate - take it from a chocolate connoisseur). I put these in a decorative basket. Two or three packs filled it and they were thrilled. m I told them it was b/c they were helping me find Kennedy half dollars I wanted. In fact one time I took in the album I filled from their helping me out, and they were all very impressed to see it (during slow business hours of course).
