Chip is a maybe, but the shape looks too defined more like a die dent maybe. Thanks, Doug.

I believe die dents happen around the perimeter of the die. Maybe a die gouge?

I'm leaning more toward a die chip. Note the line between the device and the chip. It this were a gouge, it seems like that line would not exist. Also a gouge usually doesn't start out large and get smaller that quickly. More like a die chip. Unusual though.
