It doesn't look like hub doubling

I agree Dustin. If the part that's not "doubled" is reduced in size, it is MD. I do not have sided by side capability. I think it is MD. Either way, it certainly has a neat factor.

I have a few of them - all were diagnosed as MD - they are really cool looking though - as with the Ghosting or the other thing they call it (can't think of the anagram right now) it is even more so, imo.

Yeah, this one got me jumping at first. I would have been happier if I didn't take that closer look.

This one fits into the DDO criteria for the doubled lip area. (The two light to dark areas on the lip) But there are issues with Machine damage on IN GOD. The die is very worn, but can see flow lines on the lip area. You might want to submit this ones images to John Wexler. He might need to see it hands on. But I've torn in two directions on this one. If the lip area showed die flow on the vertical line that would indicate that it was a die issue. If that vertical line doesn't show die flow, then it maybe just MD. So I would get a few more better images and see what John thinks on this one. Keep it safe for now. Let him see it and see what he thinks. (It seems that if this were hub doubling other examples in an earlier die would have been found) On his 1966 50¢ SMS WDDO-014 http://doubleddie.com/1141429.html you can see something similar to this, but shows other areas showing hub doubling. So the jury is still out on this one right now.

There weren't too many made for this year and mint. I will do as you say, Thanks.

They didn't make mint sets in 1982/83 that they sold as a set. At each mint you could get a "P" of "D" set from the mint directly. So BU coins from that year are ones to save. If you get OBW rolls, that is even better.

I just signed on and scrolled down. I saw the first pic and thought to myself how neat it was that you made it, but I liked the other one better. Then I scrolled down and there it was, and another! Thank you Coop. When I get that Photoshop I think I'll have a whole new world. I sent these pics to Mr. Wexler today. When I hear back from him, I'll post here. I have high hopes for this one, but at the same time I know it could go either way. We will see. I appreciate your looking Dustin, We probably didn't give this one too much of a chance- thinking it was too good to be true. That may or may not be. We will see.

Almost two years ago I was figuring out how to upload pictures. Then I found out I needed to learn how to take pictures. Easy peasy instructions on submitting coins sounds good!

I have no doubt, as I am almost a year into the hobby and still can get good pictures.
