I am currently away from home and cannot post pictures, but I will be back tomorrow. My best US finds are from the Liberty Head Nickels, 1x 1888 and 3x 1896. All are in FR-AG but still worth a slight premium over the 50 cents each I bought them at. My best world coin finds: 1890 British halfpenny in VF (old cleaning, slight PVC residue) for 39 cents 1932 Swiss 5 Rappen in MS-63 for 25 cents 1966 Australia 10 cents in MS-65 or 66 for 39 cents What are your finds?

Most of my Indian Head cent collection came from the junk bin. It amazes me what some dealers let go. I look forward to seeing some good finds here.

I got a couple of F details 1863 IHCs out of a junk box at a show for only $1.33 a pop (it was a box of Buffalo nickels and IHCs for 3 for $4). I will try to post a picture of the better one in a bit. They just have a little bit of corrosion on them but other than that they are good.

My most recent find was a Denmark 2 ore , 1919, about VF, for 17 cents Canadian. Book value about $10. Mind you, I do not know anyone who would pay $10.

Found this in a big lot of "junk" quarters. Bought for not much above spot.

1877 IHC in AG3 (at best) for 25 cents. Traded for 90% silver just before the Hunt Brothers escapade. Turned the 90% into two Lincoln cents - 1914 D in XF and 1911 S in MS.

Do pawn shop silver bins count? Because I've gotten some really good finds from those. Best so far has to be the 1932-D and 1932-S Washington quarters I found last week, but I've found stuff like Barber quarters and dimes, a type 1 SLQ from 1917, and an 1877 Seated Liberty quarter over the years.

I got this nice silver piece once in a bulk lot I bought. It's from the same bin as the junk bin at my coin dealer, just that it's bought by the kilo instead of the piece, so I guess it counts: http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces6010.html

Unsure about my best find. I've find a lot of interesting stuff in junk bins over my life, so it's not simple to get a definitive answer. Anyway, I'll go with the 1885 Umberto I 2 lire that I bought for 9 euros from a dealer's junk silver box. Not in the best shape (VF at best) but still a 150+ euros coin (IMHO).

Pretty sure I mentioned this in another thread, but found a worn yet readable (probably AG grade) 1895 S Morgan dollar in the junk bin. Paid spot for it ($12 at the time) and sold it for $70. Too bad it wasn't better grade :D

I've spent a lot of time in the junk bin, so I've rescued many good coins. This is one of them.
