Hi all,
Just wanted to introduce myself here. I'm David from England UK.
I have recently inherited a box of very old coins that over time hopefully some of you might be able to shed some light on them, and weather I have a box of treasure, or a box of worthless brass!

I look forward to posting some detailed shots of individual coins over the coming days, but for now here is the box that I have in posetion.

That box of coins looks like a lot of fun to me!

Do not clean them! Hope you find something to love in that lot.

That looks like a nice lot. While I know very little about British coins, I think I see a nice George I (shilling?) hiding in that box, and another one looks like it may be an older Portuguese piece. Apart from the silver and copper, those are some nice sovereigns (and half sovereign)!

Welcome and good fortune!
I see well over one thousand pounds worth of coins just on the surface. Show us what is hidden beneath for better estimates. Thanks for sharing.
