This is a very rare Canadian off-centre from King George VI era (1937-1952). I recently picked this one, and it _just_ has enough of the date to show it is a 1946. Quite spectacular, given it is also in beautiful mint state condition. This one is undoubtedly destined for PCGS to be encapsulated and graded (probably has to be put into one of their thick slabs). Struck approximately 60% off-centre, I am amazed that the collar did not shear this coin into an elliptical fragment (clip).

I am very excited with this piece...

mmmmm ... '46 is my birth year. Were you getting this for me for my birthday, Rog? That's a great coin. Love to see it over a cool one at Astors in the Spring.

Let me ask you a quick question Rogers... of all the error coins you have purchased, which one were you most excited about and why?

Nice! OC cents in the 40s are extremely uncommon. To see one over 50% OC is incredible.
If it was 5% more off, this coin couldn't be dated.

The PCGS thick slab will do this error justice, the third pic also shows the depth of the semi-cap a cool coin

Probably my 1982 Coinage Constitution dollar, because it represented 100% completeness in my business strike nickel dollar PCGS Registry, and vaulted me into the #1 spot.

This one, is a close second, due to its coolness...
