I haven't seen that one before. I've seen several on Roosevelt and central area. Several on that street in Phoenix.

I've played Bass in several bands. At one point in my life I was a week end player for three different bands. Who ever got the gig on Saturday night would call me to schedule me. I got a call one night at a little after 9:00PM and got to the job at 10:00PM and when they introduced the band, it was the first time we played together. I played in two different big band era bands and one country band all at the same time. (small community)

Lots of siblings in your schoolhouse pics, including yours, Coop. Fortunately, quite a few of those buildings have been conserved. Some as museums, landmarks, and even a few even converted to private residences.

Wouldn't you like to get under those floorboards with a metal detector and mine for old pocket change!? Mmmm...pennies.

The building was sold and moved about 1/4 mile away to be made into a remodeled house. So it is still present, but it looks nothing like the original. There are some images of the tear down on facebook that brought back a lot of memories. (and tears) 1958 doesn't seem that long ago to me. (I have a very good memory and don't seen to forget even little things)

If you you think they are spike heads check out this link and see if you can match them up to the listings - if you find a match that is great - but if can't match them then you can submit them to this website for listings of your own - that is pretty cool. Anyways here is the link

Really cool stuff here you all - it's like sitting around the family dinner table, enjoying a great meal and sharing our stories :)

Wow, what a cool website, thanks for the referal. I have about a hundred Cuds and cracks, I can't wait to look them all up. Found a huge one in a .50 last week. Coop, did you know Norm M. who played trombone in big bands around town for about 50 years? He unfortunatly died about 4 years ago? And...Oh, I'll bet you saw it, you couldn't miss that mural, it was huge right where going south on 3rd st right where it split's into 3rd and 4th st you couldn't miss it for all the nineties. We showed up for a gig at The Blue Pig in Moab, UT last week....we were supposed to be at the Blue Light in Lubbock TX 900 miles away...ha ha! It doesn't always go right, does it!
