Saw this listing a couple of times listed for $399. http://www.ebay.com/itm/14211152304...RK:MEBIDX:ITI offered $300, and was rejected. The item didn't sell, and the seller reduced it to $349, and I offered $300 again and it was accepted. I wanted the The Library of Coins albums. They are in nice shape, and can sell for as much as $100 in good condition. I'll switch with my Dansco Large Cent album. I also noticed the 1823 in there. The Cents all had what the seller claimed was tape residue on them. Here's a before and after picture. Most of the coins are coming out pretty nice. My goal is to keep the albums and the 1823, which I need, and sell the other 32 Large Cents for $300. and after an acetone bath, and Verdicare conservation. Coin is darker in hand.

Thanks for the comments. The tape residue comes off pretty easy. The acetone breaks down the tape residue, and what it doesn't remove, the VerdiCare takes care of.

How do you rate the 1823? Can you post better pics of it?

Sorry it took a while, but finally got to the 1823, and after a little "conservation" work, looks like it might be an AG3 or G04.
