I have a roll of Barber halves two short, 18 instead of 20, so I grabbed these to fill it. They are all in my junk collection not the collectibles although they are still fun to look through. Anyway they are worn have away but were 15% under melt, delivered. Were they worth getting?

The price sounds right ..

If you like them ..

I think If you ever wanted to sell them .. you would want
silver to be high

The plan is not to sell for 10 to 20 years if at all

Unless silver jumps through the roof somewhere along the way

I'd purchase them at that price, it's hard to find Barbers under melt.

would post the reverse pic of the 1906? Looks like excellent old album toning. great eye appeal and I would place that one in a flip and not hoard it in a roll, its got too much panache to not be a standout coin.
Rest in Peace

The 1898 and 1900 have probably lost close to 10% of their weight due to wear, but it is still quite reasonable. You needed them to fill a roll; I would have done that.

The question I have is; What exactly are you calling 'melt'?

Fair warning;
If you attempt to explain this like you are talking to your average Golden Retriever you will get bit.

Sa again I ask what are you calling melt?

That 1906 looks slightly toned, if so, awesome find! I loved the toning on coins, even if only slight. And, if silver can be bought under melt, automatic good buy.
