Nothing special but I was thinking of bidding on it to fill the slot in my collection - thoughts?

It's an attractive coin, probably graded about right. That mark on the neck looks like some kind of contact mark and presumably would take this coin out of contention for any upgrade. There is a big price jump to MS-65 so I expect there is lots of competition for high-end MS-64 examples. This coin should not attract too many upgrade hopefuls.

I think it looks like an excellent choice!

this coin has been high lighted, with light obviously, there are a few strikes that would keep this from going higher than, ms-63/64 tops.the neck gash..

This is a low quality MS64. I would consider this to be below average eye appeal in the grade for this year and MM.
Notwithstanding the die wear, it is weakly struck and the terrible photos make a determination of luster nearly impossible. I can see what looks like frost and golden toning in there but man, those photos.
Bid 63 money on it if you want it, and if you win it and it looks good as a 64, then you got a deal. I wouldn't put 64 money on it based on those pictures, not like there's a huge difference (60-80 bucks.)
As usual, JMHO and YMMV.

I have a list of all the certified coins I need for each type/date/mint/grade/variation sorted by lowest to highest price. I have been working the ends towards the middle I buy four or five from the low end and look for one from the high end (the key dates) this is one of my low end ones. I can always upgrade the low end eventually.

For me it is hard to get a good picture of a coin in a slab. I am thinking it is a pretty nice coin ..
Going to a MS 65 or higher .. it a much higher grade.

The reverse looks stunning, but lighting can be a tricky thing. Sometimes photos can show frosting that isn't actually there. I've produced this effect myself. The reverse looks well-struck, and the obverse is typical for this year even if it is a SF issue.

It does have the DMPL look to it. If that is from the photo process I don't know. This is why I tend to buy slabbed coins because at least you know an expert has looked at it and come up with a grade apart from any highlighted photo process. I have some Morgans that are not noted as being DMPL and even the dealer at LCS said they looked DMPL. Maybe something about the slabbing of the coin gives that impression or maybe PCGS just missed it. If you bought the coin for small money and it turned out to be DMPL that would be an extra bonus except that is probably the most common year for Morgans of all. You know the 1921MS65 DMPL goes for about $14,000. I don't see any 21-S Morgans in DMPL in my guide.

Second set of photos looks better.

This is one that you will not know what you bought until you get it in hand. The photos are low quality as it would be difficult to grade from these images. Please post your photos when coin arrives.

That is a solid 64 for a 1921. Most 64 1921's are pretty baggy. TPG's seem to bump them. Most I see in 64 slabs I would say 63 if anubother year and this looks like a solid 64
