didn't have one of these yet. This one seemed decent for $115 I thought. * times ebay bucks knocked off about $10 more. F-15 or so? http://www.ebay.com/itm/18230698947...RK:MEBIDX:IT

Detail looks like VF-20 to me; 20-cent pieces have LIBERTY in raised letters so it wears quickly. Therefore, a complete LIBERTY is not necessary for lower VF grades. Retail price in VF-20 is near $200 so the ebay sale price of $155 wasn't too bad. The $115 price you mentioned would have been a good score.

Surfaces don't look entirely original. The obverse shows lots of tiny scratches but there aren't any obvious long hairline scratches that would confirm an abrasive cleaning. Rims are strong with no serious hits. So, it might grade problem-free if submitted for grading.

Did you end up buying this one? If so, please post what you think about it when it arrives.

VF details. Cleaned and the reverse has a gouge.

not sure about the gouge part. Looked like black line to me. Will see when it arrives. Probably lightly cleaned but not horrible IMHO
Rest in Peace

Gotta agree with TypeCoin. Looks like a long scratch on Reverse, especially at the top end.

Agree VF-20 but the surfaces don't look natural to me either. At least you have return privileges.

It looks to have had some of it's patina removed but retains enough of it to qualify as problem-free IMO. Price was high unless it IS problem-free so take a close look at the reverse. It looks like a black mark but if it's a blackened groove then send her back. Good luck!

P.S. I saw the $155 price, if it was $115 then it was a good price.

The mark on the reverse bothers me ...
I do think it has a older cleaning...

I feel it would get a VF details grade

Agree with emphasis. This is not a natural-looking coin.
