Hello everyone! About 2 weeks agao, I had come onto this forum to request thoughts on a 1937-D Buffalo nickel I had found in a collection that my friend inherited from his father. Well, I told him the consensus on here about getting it authenticated through ANACS or another grading service, and he thought it was probably for the best too.

We sent in the Buffalo nickel and a 1909-S VDB penny I had found as well to ANACS for it to be slabbed and graded. I just received the e-mail that they're both on their way back to us with the grades for each. The nickel is graded at VF 20 and the VDB penny is "VF Details". All-in-all it was a good decision to have them sent in and professionally authenticated. Thanks for the help and recommendations on coin grading, everyone!

At the current juncture, I believe he was thinking about holding onto most of the coin collection. If he does ever decide to sell the coins, I'll make sure to tell all of you about it and, if this is kosher in the forums, link to the sale!
