Agree AU-50, maybe a tad better.

Looks AU, and the obverse looks cleaned judging from the color in the pics.

Below is the grade and color of coin in hand. The coin shows no signs of a cleaning. The coin is rotated in holder and I can not get it to move.

Appeared to be in original holder, this could be upgraded to a higher grade by today standard, but may not be worth it for the cost to upgrade.

I was considering cracking it out because the rotated coin was driving me crazy. There is little upside unless the coin could grade AU58. I had to use PlastX to get the scratches off the holder and I was able to rotate the coin back in the correct postion. The coin will stay in the holder in my type set.

What evidence from photos do you have that the coin was cleaned?

On another thread I mentioned that most coins below 1940's were cleaned at least once, whether with a soft cloth or Brillo pad, its just a matter of extent how it was cleaned, over time, the evidences might be diminish that is not noticeable.
Since this is a AU 50 coin, it has seen some circulation before being pull, so it has been touch by hands and perhaps wipe by fingers. Or some other ways. I am OK with old light cleaning, as long as its not harshly cleaned were I don't need a magnifying glass to see what has transpired.
With that said, I believe even 3rd party graders would pass cleaned coins that hasn't been chemically enhanced, of course there's the exception of really high grade coins that are save from circulation at day one.
