That must be one of those government $449 toilet seats...you know, the type that takes a $90 screwdriver to install.

I can't imagine the reason for this for anyone or for any reason.

Extremely ugly ! I suppose that if it were priced right, someone would buy it.

About 30 years ago (while I was still in grade school...and before catching the coin collecting bug), I was in a local, independent family run hardware store one summer with my mother (they've long since gone out of business). On this particular day, my mother and I walked by a display of toilet seats that had something like this on it...the only difference being that because this was in Canada it was full of Canadian coins (and a few 1973 $1 bills to boot!). I was only about 8 or 9 at the time and thought it was neat. Needless to say, even adjusted for inflation the hardware store was asking way less than this guy.

My wife's uncle had one in his house back in the 70's. Didn't check the coins out too much as you are basically staring in the toilet when doing so.

ha-ha!!
The biggest problem I see with this, is that sometimes the lid is down for good reason - you don't want to look under the lid; In the case of this setup, you would have no choice but to see what's in the bowl, or the terrible state the rest of your toilet is in!

In Trump Tower's golden throne room? On second thought, no pennies allowed there.

My biggest worry is the "circulated"...
