Should there be a price difference on MS 65 graded Walking half dollars if they gave a gold tone to the color rather than the silver. Thanks.

Often, but the eye-appeal of that toning is critical. Pics please!

I would slightly modify this to say that *some* people pay up for *attractive* toning.

The coin sold at Heritage on 7/31/16 for $1116.25. Silver coins with attractive gold toning can go for a small premium.

Or just "Walkers" for shorter typing.

This toning would not increase or decrease the value. It is subdued enough not to kick out a straight white collector, nor is it significant enough to gain additional value by a toner lover.

This, being a 67, doesn't need a lot of help keeping the price up.

Walkers are notoriously difficult to find with nice toning, but I don't think this example would be much affected.

Pointer ... in your original post you wrote MS 65, then posted a link
with a MS 67 .... there is a lot of price difference between a 65 to 67.

Yes you are right. Sorry about that. Used that coin as it was a good illustration of the gold coloring. The question holds true whether MS 65 or 67. Thanks for the replies.

Having trouble downloading images so the link is posted above. Does the toning on this coin add or take away from the value? Still learning from you "experts". Thanks to all of you for the help.

I am not usually a fan of toning on coins, but I like the toning on this coin. I think it enhances the value.
