the auction was listed as 3 1947 canada coins, no mention of maple leafs on any of them, but another bidder must have spotted the maple leaf on the first one, because it was bid up pretty quick at the end.. happy. happy..for me..

I had to do some research to learn about the variety. It's not easy to see in the pics -- so I guess it pays to squint!
