Hey guys, haven't been very active lately, school and all, but I picked this out of my LCS's bin, it looks to me to be AG-3 details Rim damage, 1st hairstyle, and a 1799/1800, So all opinions are appreciated, variety and especially grade, and possibly an attribution number. Thanks in advance!

AG3. a lot of the real early coppers had all kinds of issues with the planchets. nice pickup out of a bin

Shoudn't there be another 9 under the second 0? Did the die just have 179 and an empty space to put in the appropriate last digit?

1800/179 Overdate - Sheldon (not Snow!) S-194, but you're right on the number, Mr. Coop :) Note that the C in CENT is lower than the E and the bottom right serif of the T in CENT is embedded in the wreath. Looks to be MDS as I don't see the telltale rim Cuds but the denticles are too worn at any rate.

Agree w/an AG3 net grade, the defects do not hurt the coin at this grade level (some porosity, rim bruises); overall the coin is still fairly attractive in the grade.

This is an R3 variety (slightly scarce) and I would value it around $40 to $60 retail in this condition, not bad for what you paid for it.

Very possible it is a Sheldon Number. I often associate S-194 with Snow. I for got the Sheldon number system. here is the large image of both sides of the coin:
