the thing is, since handling pure gold is never a really good idea, this thing comes sealed so that you would have to break it out of its package to make it work... oh, the fingerprints and smudging if not very careful. weird situation... you know what shape this can change into but you don't dare do it! that being said, it is a different form of gold I have not seen before. btw, I had no idea that Amazon had so many precious metal coins for sale... https://www.amazon.com/Islands-Armi...69&sr=1-3648

Sort of looks like an very expensive toy with a crummy portrait of Her Royal Highness. But thanks for posting because I doubt I would have ever seen it otherwise and it is an interesting thing to see.

maybe it is some kind of weird science fiction device that starts spinning on its own until it turns into a blur and you find yourself transported into another dimension where you got a superhero costume with a cape on and a hot chick with a bikini next to you!
well, problably not....

That's Her Majesty, not HRH.

She is smaller than the hole in the "coin".

It would be cool if it were static in that "cosmos" position, but the fact that they issue it flat and packaged is kind of stupid.
This is just me, but it's never a bad idea to handle pure gold.
I wouldn't "collect" that simply because they didn't manufacture it very well. The edges are not even lapped, and I'm sure it wouldn't swivel around with any grace. There's a dude from Montreal that can make amazing rings in that style and I would rather "collect" his work than this disgrace. Kinetic objects rule, but this doesn't even move around without collapsing.

I'm ashamed to say it but I think it's kind of cool. Pretty low premium for such a fussy design.

Seems like one of those items for preppers. End of civilization as we know it. It's marked in quarters. Each quarter is marked in purity & weight. Trading a quarter oz of gold for a loaf of bread is better than trying to cut up a 1 oz gold coin. Quote: I'm ashamed to say it but I think it's kind of cool. I think it stretches the definition of coin a bit - but I do like the looks of it when expanded. Even if I could easily throw around that kind of money without thinking about it, I do not think I would get one though.
