I was hoping this was a variety but I'm guessing that Machine Doubling is not considered a variety.
However if you had a choice of the same coin in the same condition and price with or without MD which would you choose?
Is there any added collectability to a coin because it has Machine Doubling?
I would appreciate some comments on the grade if possible, I'm thinking VF30 and hoping for higher.

Very nice Bill! If it was me I would surely take the MD coin. Grade I have to say EF40

I would definitely go with the doubling "if" I had that choice.

Very nice cent..but I'm not sure of the grade here..

..the graders have changed too much lately to get it right..IMHO.

Look at the D & G. One of them (probably the G) is not MD. The die (or planchet) can't move two different directions next to each other. At least that's the way that I see it. I'll look at mine if I can find them.

Not to sure if its the same die Don as Okie points out the D G is different then the D G on your coin

But both coins are very nice coins
