Just a little show and tell, today. Picked up this 1910 LW woodie the other day. It's been dipped at some point, so it was on the cheap. It's actually in pretty good condition, somewhere in the EF to AU range.

Just thought it was cool and will put it into my FIDO box with some other woodies.

Don't you just want to thump the dipper sometimes?

Nice coin, especially if you got it inexpensively.

Every time. This would have been really cool with some luster on it. I think the cleaning would have been a while back and it's not always been taboo to ruin spruce up a coin's appearance from time to time.

Nice, very nice, I like it.., I would say it's an AU coin for sure, would have liked to see a pic of the reverse.

I'll reserve judgement until I see the reverse picture. I've seen "woody-like" streaks on coins that have been harshly cleaned. On these, the woody effect was due to the cleaning and not due to an improper alloy mix.
