Found 3 War Nickels 2 in really nice shape. 1 pretty bad. 1 new Buffalo nickel missing all the clad on the back. Then a nickel with no clad at all. Check em out on ebay missing clad is going high. Found a Thailand coin also

US nickles are minted using an alloy planchet - they are not clad.

If the third and fourth pictures are supposed to be the missing clad ones, I think they just spent some time in the ground. Like mark said, there's no clad layering of nickels -- just dimes, quarter, halves. Great finds though -- really sharp looking War Nickels.

Thats nice to know about nickel. I have a few dimes missing the clad they go for 15-8#8319; on ebay I thought nickels where the same thanks for the info. I'm goin for 90 worth tomorrow
