Seems real by the looks - just seems polished, or else you have a great flash camera!
Rest in Peace

Maybe It's just my eyes ,but I don't know about the date and the ''T'' in cent . They look off . If real, that's a heck of a find for it's showing 4 diamonds and full Liberty !

It is real but the reverse has a lot of damage. Grades about XF details.

It looks real, but it also looks like it took a hit or something on the reverse which gives it a concave / convex look. I would wager that if you set it down on a flat surface, it would not lie flat.

it's a great find from a roll however, and it would be interesting to know its history, given what appears to be an odd. If it has the problem I covered above, it should have a lot more wear or flattening of design on the convex side.

Yeah, it looks legit, the 1895 is a common date, so that's not one that would typically be counterfeited (like the 1877, which is a key date and can be quite expensive). It's nice to find a little Indian in the wild. On the obverse, see the headdress "ribbon" that hangs down her neck? It has what is called "full diamonds" because all four of the diamond pattern is clearly visible. This is important in grading and also indicates it has strong strike. It's a shame there are some issues on the reverse, which would probably keep it from getting an AU grade (although the obverse might be AU-50). I would put it at XF-45 (a XF-40 coin will have the lower hair curl clearly separated from the ribbon end and a XF-45 will have full diamond detail). Again, it's awesome to find a nice IHC in circulation.

I like it at XF-45 details. I'd call the obverse AU-50 with a weak strike reverse and rim damage. Roll find? Most excellent!

I don't like anything about this one. Raised bumps on some lettering, mushy edge denticles, pits on the 9. Guess I'll be contrary and say this one came from a Chinese Mint.

I'm an amateur but I want to agree with IGE just don't look right. But if the coin graded straight XF no dings it's a 5 to 10 dollar coin. Why would they counterfeit it?
Guess my safe bet is to buy slabs only. Anyway great find ter215, hope it's real.
