Even cleaned, some kid would appreciate them in their lincoln collection. Finding one in circulation would be a real hoot!

I had a similar dilemma with some steel cents - RUSTOLIOSIS!!
My solution? Clean in a stainless steel pin/Dishwasher detergent (normally used for cleaning rifle & pistol brass).
...and then........game ten steel cents to each club member to distribute as they see fit. Only asked that they tell the story at some point in time.

I guess about 20 years ago , a older man died. The house he lived in was about to fall in. The guy that bought the house and land decided to tear the house down. while doing this he found old metal coffee cans full of silver coins. There was mostly quarters , some dimes and halves . in all around ten cans best I can remember. have no idea as to what he did with the coins.

You won't fool many diggers, many pass over iron or steel signals. In my case, iron mask blocks them out as junk.

The Buckhorn bar in eastern Montana burned down and the fire was hot enough to melt the picture tubes of the video games they had. The glass ran down into the coin boxes and encased the quarters in molten glass. They had them on display in the new bar with all those quarters in a square of glass.

My brother hid his coin collection in the ceiling of his basement. He later sold the house and it was two years before he remembered the coin collection he left behind. He still has no idea if the new owners ever found his hidden collection.

Quote: I think you could plate these and have a good looking steelie. None of the coins for which you posted pictures are steel cents...

I can now confirm it is not here.
