at least 66. coin is dripping with luster. The marks in the obverse field don't look too deep or distracting and I am going to guess they prob look worse in the picture than they really are. Reverse looks super clean a few small ticks is all I see

with the obverse scratches in a prime focal area I have to respectfully disagree with my colleagues and say MS64

Mark1959 is free to send every disliked Ike my way. Quote: with the obverse scratches in a prime focal area I have to respectfully disagree with my colleagues and say MS64 I was thinking the same, but I would love to see how distracting they are (or not) in hand.

Great looking Ike and very nice pictures as usual Darth.
With the marks in the fields on obverse. Both in front and behind his head. I'm at MS64
However with the outstanding luster this coin has I think it will grade MS65

Thanks for the input, guys. The marks appear exactly as shown, but they are very light. It's the only real problem with this coin, so I've got it at 66. Based on the ones in my collection I think this is how PCGS would grade it. The bust is virtually mark free, which is astounding given the marks in the field. In hand it looks remarkable, sans the chicken scratch. At worst it would get a 65, me thinks, but you never know what kind of day they might be having. For comparison, this is a certified MS66 example that was once part of my registry set. There are many more abrasive hits on this coin compared with the one above, which is why I going with a conservative 66.
