If you can get past the writing style which comes close to giving me an aneurysm the list of coins is impressive.

Even more impressive is how this weirdo wants somebody to make him 75k (OR BEST OFFER!) upfront, and then see the coins.

I mean is he delusional or just a really brazen thief?

Maybe the seller added an extra "zero" in the price by a mistake. Otherwise, he needs to join the forum.

Hey, you can see the coins before you make an offer - just look at those excellent photos!

He is delusional. No one could have produced that deliberately to deceive, as it is not believable.

It works out to about $500 per item. A few are identifiably worthless. Others could be worth $1000s if you knew the grade. So it is possible that the collection is worth $75,000, but there is no way to know unless they got better pictures.

At least the seller's user id is accurate.

Even based on what I can clearly discern, it's 90% junk and 10% "maybes", and the value of that 10% in no way approaches $75,000, or even $7,500.

There are some very scarce coins in there from what I can see. Even then, I don't think the value comes anywhere near 75k.

It's a nice variety of coins. If you look at the 'yellowing' of some of the holders they look 40-50 years old or more. He has a 1795 half dollar but it looks like it's in g-vg condition. I wouldn't be surprised if he accidently typed in an extra decimal. If not they just have no clue.

Edit: @adam I just noticed that. User name: lousyphotos

The 1796 quarter could be worth half of the $75000, if it's real and in good shape.

My main concern with auctions such as this is that it is a great way to sneak no-no site counterfeits in with real coins.

Something about this doesn't sound right. Even if it was priced right I don't have a good feeling about this collection. Like I'm kind of wondering how the seller got this collection in the 1st place.

SHIPPING: WE KNOW THAT SHIPPING IS A MAJOR CONCERN FOR EVERYONE. BUYERS WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THEIR PURCHASE IS GOING TO GET TO THEM. SO WE HAVE DEVISED A PLAN TO MAKE SURE THAT NO ONE COMPANY CAN TOUCH OR REMOVE THE COINS WHILE IN TRANSIT. THATS WHY, THE COLLECTION WILL BE HAND DELIVERED BY US. DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU LIVE, WE WILL EITHER DRIVE TO YOU OR FLY TO YOU AND MAKE SURE YOU GET WHAT YOU BOUGHT. THERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS YOU CAN PAY. SO CALLING US, BEFORE HAND, IS A GOOD START, AFTER ALL, EVERYONE WANTS TO MAKE SURE THEY GET WHAT THEY PAY FOR.

This scares the heck out of me. Would you want this guy hand delivering anything to you? I sure as heck wouldn't.

eccentric. He sells old LP records and probably has no idea what the values of pictured coins are worth. One thing for sure, don't want him coming to my home.

Has anybody messaged this "Larry"?

Why is it he outright refused to go get clear pictures of the coins?

I mean major, major red flag there. He wants somebody to send him 75k (he also seems to indicate he wants it via bank payment in the description) but refused to go get off his you know what and get clear pictures?

I mean it is so insanely delusional I cannot imagine it NOT being a poor attempt to commit a big time felony fraud.

none of them are or have been graded, they are not or have not been certified by any coin company or association and in fact, no one has ever personally seen these coins before.

No single person has ever seen these coins before? Ummm...

if you look at my feedback, you will see, yes, 861 or so , but that would equal to more than A FEEDBACK SCORE OF 8000 OR MORE people giving me feedback, because I sell in quantity almost everything.

I don't think it works that way. If half of the people I sell to actually left feedback, I'd probably have a few hundred more.

This guy's asking for it. Thank goodness they have Best Offer.

As did I. I also submitted a $100 offer that was automatically declined. Dang!

I'm anxiously awaiting the reply (that I will most likely never receive).
