1899-O Morgan Dollar Vs. Old NGC Soap Bar.

Been awhile since I posted a pretty coin, so here's an 1899-O Morgan dollar to grade. NGC old soap bar, fat holder.

Coin is a VAM 25B with clash, doubled date, doubled MM, doubled ear, and a major die crack on the reverse with a slight field displacement break above ES in STATES. Seller did not have it attributed, of course. Nice original toning, not over the top, but enough of it there to let you know this was a bagger, not a roller. Seller pictures, but looks like good deep luster on both sides, reverse looks particularly strong.

I'll post grade in 48H.

That's a busy VAM, I'll guess NGC had it at MS63 back then and it's a solid MS64 today.

It's an easy 64 today. Above average strike for a New Orleans piece too

It's at least a MS-64 maybe a bit better, nice.
