I'm slowly CRH'ing $100 of cents, and came across a 1972D Lincoln Kennedy penny. Problem is, it still has the dab of glue and paper remnants from the sheet it originally came on. How do I get it off? I tried to just grab it and pull, but that did nothing. I'm thinking acetone?

Yep--pure acetone should remove the adhesive. However, there may be a remaining difference in toning between the part of the cent that was covered and the part of the cent that was uncovered.

If this is one of those counterpunched Lincolns, there's not a lot at risk.

Got a small collection of those, interestingly enough I have four different punch styles so far, wonder how many more there are?
