Au58 Is it really as lackluster in hand as in your pics?

Thanks. It's pretty neutral lighting, it doesn't shine like an unc coin. Depends on the lighting.

DBM - thanks for your opinion. I picked it up as a VF30 coin which seemed rather undergraded, $13.50 including shipping. I think there is too much field chatter to make it an AU58. Grading from online pics like this isn't precise :)

VF-30 is a perfect grade for this coin, IMO
And, as a rule lots of Newfoundland coins have lack luster for some reason or another.
