Another low S/N which newer members may not have seen. I like the symmetry of the Xs here and the simple "50".

Series 1917. Pretty bad shape but my Grandfather gave this to me when I was just 8 years old, this is what started my interest in coin collecting as he also had blue folders (Whitman?) of Mercury dimes and Walking Liberty halves but I have no idea what happened to those. He's been dead for 40 years so sentimental value is so much more than any other value could compare.

This note was the case of being at the right place at the right time. I came across this note on an off the beaten path website (not ebay, Heritage etc.) and I couldn't hit the 'Buy Now' button fast enough. Even with the missing piece, this note is quite rare and I've yet to see one at any coin show, in any condition. Not to mention I got it for a steal. Problem free VG notes of this type book for about $2500.. I'll have to settle for a tattered example because I won't be getting and uncirculated one anytime soon.

A very rough 1882 $50 Gold Certificate. Looks like it was a wallet piece at one point.. Still retains good color though.

Clearly one of the last large size notes, but a favorite of mine:

I agree with Mr.Frog, and will add that I don't believe I have seen as many notations on the back of any PMG NET graded note before. Uncirculated versions of this note, which are extremely rare, are 5 figure notes.

Trying to think of a possible fifth notation - any candidates?

They go up in price FAST! Quote: Trying to think of a possible fifth notation - any candidates? You could probably throw in margin tear or staining too. Might as well!
