From the front vignette of the 1896 $2 SC Educational to the back engraving of the 1914 $100 FRN, these are two of my all time favorite vignettes on large-size paper money. Nice display Barry !

I always wonder how they came up with the allegorical reverse on the 1918 $100, which is so different from the reverse on any other note. Even the $500 reverts to an engraving of a painting, and the $1K to a simple large eagle.

barryg - Worthy of mention is the 1918 $100 with the Burke/Glass sig combo, which is a really scarce note, like most with the Glass signature.

1890 $1 "Ornate Back" coin note. I love these ornate back designs.

Thanks indeed - This is a first generation CGA note, graded before PCGS and PMG got in to the field, and really an eye-popper in hand.

I am really enjoying this thread !

Although I have a few World notes, I don't have any older U.S. notes at all. For these, all I have are for picture reference is the tiny images in the Krause World notes catalog.

To see good color pictures of older U.S. notes, covering a full size computer screen, really allows us to see the full beauty of them.
